The EXCHANGE

ACFEX (Africa Commodities and Futures Exchange) is the first true Pan-African, multi-asset Derivatives exchange. The exchange will offer Agricultural, Financial, Metal, Energy, Currency and OTC derivatives. The exchange will operate four distinct markets that are Acfex-East, Acfex-West, Acfex-South and Acfex-International and will provide multi-currency clearing through Africa Clearing Corp.

ACFEX will offer African producers especially small scale farmers a market that will enable price discovery, hedging and arbitration opportunities .The exchange has developed innovative trading instruments that will enhance agribusiness financing in the continent.

Governance and Transparency

ACFEX is fully demutualized separating the membership and management. The employees, management and board members of the exchange are not allowed to trade in any futures exchange around the world. Its trading platform provides clear market transparency and trade execution is on time priority basis.

Technology

ACFEX is the First pan-African commodities exchange looking to have a market presence in the continent and the world. We believe that technology will enable growth in the financial industry in Africa and Acfex will be in the leading edge of that evolution. ACFEX will support other exchanges in the region to move into electronic market.
